Commandants Message Greetings from Adhyyan !
It is an honor for me to serve as the Commandant at Adhyyan Defence Academy. With my 30 years of service in the Indian Army, mostly in high-altitude regions, as a Platoon Commander, Battery Commander, Regiment Adjutant, and Quarter Master, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to this institution. I also had the privilege of serving in the India-Bhutan Military Training Team for one year.
During my tenure in the Indian Army, I have been a part of numerous operations, including the Indo-Pak War of 1971, Operation Meghdoot, Operation Rakshak, Operation Blue Star, Operation Pawan, and Operation Parakaram.
As the Commandant at Adhyyan Defence Academy, my roles and responsibilities include the overall management of training and administration. I believe in nurturing young and aspiring minds who want to serve our nation and protect our borders. It gives me immense pleasure to impart my knowledge and experience to the students at Adhyyan Defence Academy.
After my retirement from the Indian Army, I continued to serve in various capacities.

I am Sub. Maj. D.B. INGLE (Retd.), and it is my pleasure to address you all through this message section on the website of Adhyyan Defence Academy.
As a retired Indian Army personnel belonging to the Bombay Sappers Bombay Engineering Group, I have had the honor of serving my country in various capacities. I have participated in critical operations such as Operation Vijay and Operation Parakaram, and I consider it a privilege to have served my nation with dedication and discipline.
I am also an expert in yoga and meditation, and I firmly believe that they are essential tools for achieving overall well-being and mental peace.
At Adhyyan Defence Academy, I am serving as the Head of the Military Training Team and Hostel Superintendent under the able guidance of Commandant Maj. R.K. Bhagat (Retd). In this role, I am responsible for the training and well-being of the cadets, as well as the overall mess management of the academy.
It is an incredibly fulfilling experience to be a part of this institution and to contribute towards shaping the future of our nation’s defence forces. I am committed to providing the best possible training to our cadets, and to ensuring that they are physically and mentally prepared to serve the nation.

Overview of NDA Training
1. Academic Training
Duration: 3 years.
Curriculum: The academic curriculum includes a mix of military subjects, science, and humanities.
Degree: On completion, cadets are awarded a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Technology degree.
2. Military Training
Physical Training: Rigorous physical training to build endurance, strength, and agility. Activities include running, swimming, drills, and obstacle courses.
Drill and Ceremonial: Cadets learn various drill movements and ceremonial procedures, including parade drills.
Weapon Training: Cadets are trained in the use of various weapons, including rifles and pistols.
Field Training: Practical exercises in fieldcraft, map reading, and survival skills. Includes training in tactics, camouflage, and basic combat techniques.
Leadership Training: Emphasis on developing leadership qualities through exercises and tasks designed to test and improve decision-making, teamwork, and responsibility.
3. Adventure Training
Activities such as trekking, rock climbing, para jumping, and horse riding are included to build courage and resilience.
4. Sports and Extracurricular Activities
Sports: A wide range of sports such as football, basketball, hockey, cricket, and athletics.
Extracurricular Activities: Encouragement to participate in clubs and societies to develop skills like public speaking, debating, and other hobbies.
5. Service Training
Army Training: Includes training in infantry weapons, tactics, and fieldcraft.
Navy Training: Includes seamanship, navigation, and basic maritime skills.
Air Force Training: Includes training in airmanship, navigation, and aviation technology.
6. Camps and Tours
Adventure Camps: Such as high-altitude camps, desert camps, and sailing expeditions.
Tours and Visits: Educational visits to various military establishments and historical places.
7. Personality Development
Focus on overall personality development, including discipline, ethics, and communication skills.
Preparation for NDA Exam
1. Written Examination
Mathematics: Covers topics such as algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and geometry.
General Ability Test (GAT): Includes sections on English, general knowledge, physics, chemistry, history, geography, and current events.
2. Physical Fitness
Regular physical exercise to meet the physical standards required for the NDA.
3. Personal Interviews and Group Tasks
Training for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview, including group discussions, psychological tests, and personal interviews.
Recommended Tips for NDA Aspirants
Regular Study:
